A Smile Makeover in a Day
Today was a big day for our friend Colette!
She’s been talking to Dr. Colin from the Creekside Dental team in Kelowna for 10 years about giving her anterior veneers. After discussing different options we decided to do a same day smile makeover by milling the 4 veneers and 2 crowns out of a lithium disilicate on our brand new #dgshape42W (the precision of this beast is impeccable!)
Same Day Smile Makeover Workflow
Since Colette works behind the front desk at Creekside we made quick temps with a putty stint off of the diagnostic wax up to be the guide for her new Hollywood smile. Dr. Colin used the iTero intraoral scanner to capture the most precise 3D scans as well as a traditional impression for us to guarantee a fit that’s second to none. The perfect pairing of outstanding hard and software, we used 3Shape dental designer and Millbox as CAD/CAM in combination with the #dgshape42W, making these cases so amazing and predictable. Next, our RDT and ceramist MacKenzie microlayered the veneers to achieve incredible aesthetics.
The Results
With good communication between the clinic and our dental lab we were able to deliver beautiful crowns within an incredibly short time frame. Most importantly, Colette was thrilled and proud to show off her new smile. This is what makes us love our work, when we can see the difference that a smile makes in someone’s confidence!
